WEEKLY SCHEDULE

RISE GROUPS
Sunday Mornings at 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

SQ Rise
RISE Groups are for middle and high school students on Sunday mornings. This provides students the chance to dig deeper into their faith and form friendships in a small group setting. A typical Sunday morning consists of
  • Provided breakfast (donated/free)
  • Student-led worship
  • Short 5-10 min. teaching
  • Grade-specific small groups with discussion prompting questions

MIDWEEK
Wednesday Evenings at 6 - 7:15 p.m.

SQ Midweek (1)
MIDWEEK is open to middle & high school students offering them the opportunity to gather on Wednesday evenings for games, hangouts, and devotions. This gathering is designed to offer a space for students to decompress from their busy schedules and have fun as a community. A typical Midweek gathering consists of…
  • Provided dinner ($5)
  • Games
  • Short devotion or life check-ins with prayer requests

For the month of November, the students will be walking through a devotional series on Thankfulness.

MIDWEEK meets in the Student Center, Fellowship Hall, or Quad. Follow the INSTAGRAM for the latest updates.

SIGN UP TO BRING BREAKFAST ON SUNDAY MORNINGS.
An easy way to support our youth program is to sign up to bring breakfast to feed them on Sunday mornings. Breakfast should be in the youth building by 11 a.m. and plan to feed about 20 teenagers.

APRIL

APRIL 2

YOUTH PANCAKE BREAKFAST

This youth service is another one of BUMC’s youth traditions! The man, the myth, the legend Derek Struchtemeyer will bring out his griddle to make his famous pancakes, along with bacon, fruit, and other delicious items! After eating a large breakfast, we will all finish up the prayer stations by going through them ourselves to prepare the way for the rest of the church community during the upcoming week. This is a fun morning to bring friends or those who have never come!

APRIL 3-6

YOUTH PRAYER STATIONS OPEN TO PUBLIC

A BUMC tradition! Our youth prepare prayer stations in the Student Center for anyone to interactive with during Holy Week.
OPEN: Monday, April 3 – Thursday, April 6 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
AND during Drop-In Holy Communion for Maundy Thursday on April 6 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

HIGH SCHOOL MISSION TRIP WITH APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT

All rising ninth graders through graduating seniors are invited on the high school mission trip this year! We’re heading up to Appalachia with the Appalachian Service Project – that has been working in the region since 1969.

The exact location will be announced in mid-April, but we will be serving a family of the region by providing them with safe housing. ASP has a great website with lots of information you can check out here.

The total cost for the trip is $450 and a $150 deposit is due at registration. Scholarships are available.

PARENTS! WE’VE GOT A SPOT FOR YOU, TOO!

Looking for other parents who know what it’s like to raise a teenager in 2022? Each Sunday morning, as the students gather together for their own service at 11:15 a.m. in the Student Building, there is a Sunday School class specifically for parents of teens running at the same time in a classroom in the Fellowship Hall building. This is an excellent space for parents to build community with each other while fostering their own spiritual growth. If you have any questions regarding this class, please reach out to one of the parents, Chris Carrollton, who leads this group at Kenesay10@gmail.com.
