Birmingham UMC is a church that people call home. Our campus is a sanctuary for the human soul, healing space for those who are hurting, and a place where people find God. We grow deeper and flourish in our relationships with Jesus Christ and with each other through: worship, discipleship, service, family ministries & community events. This transforms individual lives, families, and our community, creating one rooted in prayer and marked by love.Â
With much prayer and thought this vision for Birmingham UMC was established to collectively recognize our heritage while painting our future. We invite you during this stewardship season to reflect and pray on where we are going as a church and how God is calling you to join us.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your a faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. – Romans 12:4-8
