ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL AT BIRMINGHAM UMC

Discover a welcoming Christian community at Birmingham UMC through our Adult Sunday School classes. These Bible study groups for adults meet on Sunday mornings after worship and provide a meaningful space to dig deeper into Scripture, explore how faith connects to everyday life, and build lasting friendships through conversation and prayer.

Sunday School makes church feel smaller, more personal, and spiritually enriching, where you can truly grow in your relationship with Christ.

We currently have four active faith-based small groups at Birmingham UMC, and there’s a place for you! Don’t see a class that feels like the right fit? Let’s talk. We’re always open to creating new opportunities for adult Bible study and fellowship in Milton, GA.

BIRMINGHAM BELIEVERS CLASS

Open to parents with children of all ages, the Birmingham Believers centers around thoughtful book studies and meaningful conversation. They’re passionate about building community, both inside and outside the church, and frequently host social events for families to connect, support one another, and do life together.

Birmingham Believers is currently meeting in a classroom downstairs in the Treehouse area after worship service at 11:15 a.m.

THE JOURNEY CLASS

Follow the delicious smells to the downstairs kitchen. Or just follow Cheryl Mohler, because she’s the queen of inviting people to her Sunday School (which we love!).

In the Journey Class, you’ll find a warm, welcoming group of mature adults journeying through Scripture and life together. This class isn’t afraid to dive deep into God’s Word, ask big questions, and have meaningful conversations. They also cultivate a strong sense of community through prayer, care, and connection that extends well beyond Sunday mornings.

This class meets in the Kitchen on the lower level of the Education Building at 11:15 a.m.

PARENTS OF YOUTH CLASS

This group is designed for parents of youth to gather while their students attend Youth AM in the Student Center. Together, they explore how God’s word speaks into the busy, often chaotic world of raising teenagers. With a mix of discussion, videos, and Scripture, this class offers encouragement, perspective, and connection. They’re just getting started again, so if you’re looking to get more plugged into a community, this might be the perfect place to jump in.

This group will meet in classroom 220 in the Education Building, across from the church office, at 11:15 a.m.

THE WESLEY CLASS

This lively group of retirees shares plenty of laughs and a love for learning. Centered around book studies throughout the year, they enjoy thoughtful conversation, with a healthy dose of humor along the way. They don’t take themselves too seriously but are always looking for meaningful ways to experience God’s grace in everyday life.

This group meets in classroom 221 in the Education Building, diagonal from the church office, at 11:15 a.m.
