Any sixth-grader through high school senior is welcome at events. Some are specifically for middle school or high school, but unless otherwise noted, all we welcome!
If you have questions please reach out to Chris Moss, Director of Youth Ministry at chris@birminghamumc.org.
Sunday AM is a gathering point in the Student Center (chapel right on Birmingham Highway) immediately following the corporate 10 a.m. service in the main Sanctuary building. It is open to all sixth through twelfth graders.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Breakfast, announcements about upcoming events, dig into Scripture as a large group, followed by discussions in smaller groups.
Parents, if you are looking for something to do during this time, we have several Sunday School classes that meet — including one for Parents of Teens! For more information please visit our Sunday School information.
THE “BIG GAME” PARTY
At the home of Michael and Susie Ramirez. A fun time of togetherness with some sports in the mix.
Please meet at the Student Center at 6 p.m. It is a 15-minute drive to the Ramirez home. Please let Chris know if you need the address. You can pick up your child at any time, but we will return to the Student Center fifteen minutes after the halftime show ends. More information can be found here.
CONFIRMATION RETREAT
A weekend away at Camp Glisson for our confirmand students. If you are in confirmation this year, Chris will be in touch with all the details.
SLR RETREAT AT CAMP GLISSON
Open to all sixth to twelfth graders, this retreat is always a youth favorite. It includes guest speakers, a worship band, and small groups to dig deeper into the message. The focus this year is equipping and encouraging students to connect with God through Scripture. The cost is $240, and scholarships are available.
