Vacation Bible School: Camp Firelight

June 5 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Become a Firelight Camper this summer at Birmingham UMC’s Vacation Bible School adventure! This year we will learn how to have a trusting relationship with God. In addition, VBS will teach us to trust that God will go with us, lead the way, share wisdom, to give us peace, and spark joy as we celebrate the good news of Jesus in our own lives and in the lives of others. We will also learn ways we can connect with and put our trust in God whenever we are afraid, challenged, or called to do God’s work in the world and share the Good News of God’s love through Jesus Christ. Our theme verse will be “Whenever I’m afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalm 56:3).

WHEN: June 3-6. Please note that VBS is only Monday through Thursday. We will have extra VBS events throughout the week and a VBS Celebration on Sunday, June 9th during our normal service time at 10:00am.

TIME: 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

WHO: All kids ages 4 (as of 9/1/2024) through rising sixth graders are encouraged to attend! All children 3 and under are invited to be in the nursery and preschool class for all full-time volunteers.

COST: The cost is $30.00 per child.
All registered families are required to volunteer in some capacity this year; we will need help planning, prepping, and participating. This is our largest children’s outreach and it takes everyone to make it a success!
