Special Session of Church Conference

Our District Superintendent, the Rev. Dr. Hyeok Won Kwon, has called a special session of Birmingham UMC’s church conference for Sunday, August 16 at 2 p.m. The sole purpose of this Special Session of the Church Conference is to consider and act upon a resolution authorizing the sale of one specified acre of Birmingham United Methodist Church’s property to an adjoining neighbor.
This is in accordance with The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church and all applicable legal requirements. Proceeds from the sale would be applied to the principal balance of BUMC’s mortgage debt. All professing members of Birmingham United Methodist Church are eligible to vote on this resolution in person in the Sanctuary.
