Luke tells the Christmas story in poetry and song. And at BUMC we’re celebrating
Advent and Christmas with a special sermon series based on Luke’s Gospel called,
Songs of a Savior. Worship together each Sunday at 10 a.m. & enjoy all the special events this season!
10 a.m. FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT
With some Christmas Eve sprinkled about, join us at the regular Sunday morning time for worship. We will sing carols and you will hear the Christmas story, but no candlelight and "Silent Night". Nursery is available for birth through preschool but our elementary children will remain in service with their families.
6 p.m. TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE
Sing the songs, hear the story, and light the candles! This will feature music from the Sanctuary Worship Band and special music from other congregation members. Children are welcome at this service and we will have childcare for our birth through preschool kids, and fun activity bags for our elementary kids.
11 p.m. CANDLELIGHT & COMMUNION SERVICE
This is an intimate service to ring in Christmas Day with carols, candlelight and communion.
GIFT CARDS & MONETARY DONATIONS TO LOCAL BENEVOLENCE FUND
The Local Benevolence Fund goes to help people in need who have a connection to our community. There are two ways to give:
1. Bring in gift cards of $25 increments to donate for Publix or Kroger. Kroger is preferable because people can get food or gas there!
2. Donate money to the fund. This year that fund has helped people pay rent and utility bills for those in our community. You write a check putting missions in the memo line, or give online and select missions.
Everything collected through the end of December for missions will go into this fund.
A note about end-of-year giving:
Please note the church office will be open on
