Where do my children go?
Currently for safety, children are asked to attend worship with their parents. There are kid-friendly aspects to the service to get them involved as well.
Mrs. Danielle also leads a family small group time full of fun and faith each Sunday morning. Currently this is in the Fellowship Hall starting at 10:30A.M.
An alternative to the nursery is the “Cry Room” adjacent to the Sanctuary where the worship service can be fully seen and heard.
What is available for students?
Middle and high school students are meeting at 11A.M. at our Student Center (the old chapel building by the road).
How should I dress?
Dress comfortably. You will see people in anything from “office casual” to jeans and sneakers.
What can I expect?
When you visit Birmingham UMC you can expect to feel welcomed and accepted. Our church is an energetic, intimate, and dynamic church that is filled with people who are married and unmarried, families with children and teenagers, and senior adults.
Whoever you are, you will be encouraged by our passionate, full-band worship team, relevant and creative presentations of the Gospel, and life-changing prayer times that will challenge and empower you. You will notice a warm and personable atmosphere, but more importantly, we hope you will find us to be a Christ-centered church. Birmingham UMC revolves around Jesus and strives to be a healing place for a hurting world. We invite you to come as you are, leave different than you came, and expect the unexpected.
Birmingham UMC is located on 63 acres, two thirds of which are set aside in a natural setting as a sanctuary, a venue for one’s spirit to rest and recreate.
There are three miles of hiking trails, streams, footbridges, many gathering spaces, an outdoor Vesper Chapel, a large outdoor amphitheater, a baseball field and plenty of room for individuals and small groups to experience private time with God.
