SUMMARY:Blessing of the Animals
DESCRIPTION:Bring your furry (or feathered!) friends to the Quad on the first Sunday in October for our Blessing of the Animals with Pastors Mike and Sam. Stop by anytime during the hour for a special blessing\, pick up a t-shirt\, and receive a certificate for your pet. All animals must be leashed\, caged\, or contained. This event is organized by Thrive Women’s Ministry. They are asking for donations to Fur Kids; this is the wishlist. \nThis event is open to the community!

DESCRIPTION:Spend the afternoon with the ladies of Birmingham UMC at the home of Chris & Claire Williams. Everyone is encouraged to wear a hat. \nPARKING: Please park at church and there will be van shuttles to the Williams’ house starting at 1:30 p.m. The vans will bring you back to church to retrieve your car after the event.\nOPTIONAL PLANT SWAP: If you would like to participate\, please bring a labeled home-grown or store-bought plant to swap! \nREGISTER: This event is free but please RSVP so we can plan for you. SUMMARY:Mary\, Did You Know? Women's Christmas Dinner
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS SOLD BUT SEATS ARE AVAILABLE FOR BRUNCH. \nStart off your holiday season with friends and let us fill you — physically and spiritually! Registration for the BUMC Women’s Ministry Christmas Event is underway. This year there is an evening option for $30 (Dec. 4) and a brunch option for $20 (Dec. 5). In addition\, we are asking all participants to bring a gift card with them for groceries or gas that will be given to those in need. \nTwenty years ago\, Jody and her husband Larry founded Cloudwalk Ministries as a response to their own life-changing encounters with a loving and very real and present God. Cloudwalk exists to lead all God’s children into the loving presence of the Trinity. Jody’s heart is to see women fall in love with themselves as they fall in love with God\,  opening themselves to the fullness of all God has created them to be as a part of His eternal plan today and forever. She’s been involved in women’s ministry for 12 years and this her sweet spot and greatest joy. \nIn addition\, Jennifer Barnard has donated two paintings entitled “Mary\, Did You Know?”. A silent auction will be held for these paintings at the event. All money raised will go directly to a fund to help women and children.

All women in our church and community are welcome to enjoy delicious soups and desserts on Sunday\, October 15 starting at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per person.
