The Wesley Medical Center serves the urban poor surrounding a city of 2 million in the northwestern part of Venezuela. Desperate economic and political problems in the country have broken the healthcare system. Medical care, basic medical supplies and drugs are not available to the average citizen and especially the poor.
The following over-the-counter drugs and supplies are needed and can be dropped off during the month of August:
Store brands are welcome. All supplies can be placed in the crate in the Narthex.
To make a monetary donation, make check payable to BUMC with “Venezuela” written on the memo line, and drop it in the offering plate or turn it into the Church Office.
