Every Sunday morning, adults of all ages and from all walks of life gather to grow in their relationship with God and to be nourished by and through His Word. These groups conveniently meet during both Worship hours (9:30 and 11:00 a.m.).

The Faithful 9:30 a.m. in Room 221
This group lives up to their name as they are committed to coming together each week to study the Bible.

The Journey 11:00 a.m. in Kitchen on lower level of Education Building
The Journey class began early in 2013 and quickly grew to a group of dedicated members who study a variety of material as well as engage in meaningful conversation.

The Wesley Class 11:00 a.m. in Room E223
This class is perfect for someone who wants to participate in a Bible study, but can't make it work with their schedule. This is an ongoing class on Sunday mornings led by Rev. Sam Halverson.

BUMC Senior Adults typically meet the 2nd Wednesday of every other month. They often take day trips around North Georgia or just meet for lunch and fellowship.

merciermarkethdr2.jpgOn Wednesday, October 18, Senior Adults will take a day trip to Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge to get apples. The van will leave the church at 10 a.m. Contact Judy Helms ( or 404.583.1583) to reserve your place. Space will be limited.

The Adult Ministry offers many opportunities for growth and Bible study during the school year. The following Bible studies are ongoing this Fall.

epic of eden.jpgEpic of Eden: A Christian Entry into the Old Testament
Teaching Leader: Rev. Dr. Brent Ward
Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
August 15-September 19; continued January 9-February 13

Does your knowledge of the Old Testament feel like a grab bag of people, books, events and ideas? How many times have you resolved to really understand the OT? To finally make sense of it? In this study, the Old Testament is presented in a usable, comprehensible history of God's redeeming grace--a story that runs from the Garden of Eden to the garden of the New Jerusalem.

This 12-week study will be divided into two 6-week segments.

The Amazing Collection.pngAmazing Collection Bible Studies
Teaching Leaders: Jill Freudenberg & TBA
Two Groups on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Begins September 12

The Amazing Collection enables students of Scripture to get the big picture of God and His Word by studying a book of the Bible each week. Books covered this year will be Romans to Revelation. The workbook, written for people with busy lives, will help you understand the purpose, theme, history and spiritual application of each book covered.

The WOW Ministry is a fellowship of women who desire to love God and know God through the study of His Holy Word and the fellowship of other women. We offer a supportive place to learn and grow no matter where you are on your journey. Our goals are to be real, be transformed, and be in the world as an example of Christ’s love. Throughout the school year we offer a flexible schedule of short term studies covering a variety of topics. You can join us for one or all of the classes! We meet each Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. (Childcare Available). Contact Jodi Christensen for more information at
